Home battery warranties run from 5 to 15 years, and they carry more conditions than any other category. Tesla holds its 10 year Powerwall term only while the unit stays online. BYD starts its clock six months after production unless you kept the delivery note. FranklinWH starts at install or 12 months after manufacture, whichever is earlier.

Every brand, side by side
Terms run from 5 years to 15. None of these brands pay toward labour, and most of them attach a condition to the headline number, which is why the conditions column matters more here than anywhere else.

The ones with something to confirm
These brands hang the full term on something staying true. No clock, no notification, and the consequence only shows up at the claim.
Enphase
Inverter · Battery
Enphase IQ8 microinverters carry 25 years, applied from Enlighten activation, so the thing to confirm is that activation happened. In the United States Enphase also pays labour: $200 per truck roll plus $25 per replaced microinverter, and a paid Labor Protection Program extension stretches labour cover to five or ten years from activation..
Tesla
Battery
Powerwall is registered with Tesla at commissioning, so there is nothing to file later. Connectivity is the condition that matters: the 10 year term needs the unit to stay connected to the internet.
EG4
Inverter · Battery
EG4's current inverters and batteries carry 10 year terms. EG4 asks for registration within the first year of purchase, with proof of purchase from an authorised distributor accepted as the fallback.
Alpha ESS
Battery
Alpha ESS gives five years as standard, with 10 years on battery performance, starting at installation or 180 days after manufacture, whichever is earlier. The 10 year extended cover is a paid extension that has to be bought within 30 days of installation, which makes it a handover conversation rather than a later one..
BYD
Battery
BYD has no registration at all. The trap is the start date.
FranklinWH
Battery
aPower 2 and aPower S carry 15 years with 70 percent capacity retention at term end. The original aPower X carries 12.
