Alpha ESS gives five years as standard, with 10 years on battery performance, starting at installation or 180 days after manufacture, whichever is earlier. The 10 year extended cover is a paid extension that has to be bought within 30 days of installation, which makes it a handover conversation rather than a later one.

What has to stay true
These are not deadlines. They are things that have to be true for the full term to hold, mostly with no clock attached, and nothing tells you when one stops being true.
If the customer wants the 10 year extended cover, the paid extension must be purchased within 30 days of installation. Standard cover is 5 years
Terms by product line
Parts and labour are separate covers and they are rarely the same length. The models column is what the nameplate will say.

What it pays for labour
The part is covered. The truck roll usually is not, and that is the number that decides whether a claim is worth filing.
The SMILE-B3 line carries no labour cover.

Five years standard, and 10 years on battery performance. The 10 year extended cover is a paid extension.

Within 30 days of installation. That is a short window and it lands right when the job is being closed out, so it belongs in the handover conversation.
