Privacy policy

Claim Timer holds your install records so your warranty claims hold up. That job only works if we are careful with the data, so here is exactly what we keep and where it goes.

Who we are

Claim Timer is operated from Australia. When this policy says we, it means the operator of claimtimer.com. You can reach us at support@claimtimer.com about anything on this page.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address and a hashed password.
  • Your business: its name and the team member names you add.
  • Your install records: job references, your customers' names, addresses and contact details, install dates, equipment makes, models and serial numbers, registration confirmations, claims and their evidence.
  • Photos you upload, such as nameplate and fault photos.
  • The basics every web server sees: IP address and browser type, kept in short lived logs.

We do not run analytics scripts or advertising trackers on the app. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, nothing watching you work.

Your customers' details

The names and addresses inside your install records belong to your customers, and you are the one with the relationship with them. We store that data for you and use it for nothing else: no marketing to your customers, no selling it, no sharing it beyond the services listed below that keep the app running.

Where it lives and who processes it

A small number of services run Claim Timer. Each one sees only what it needs:

  • Vercel hosts the application and its logs.
  • Neon hosts the database where your records live.
  • Vercel Blob stores the photos you upload.
  • Anthropic processes nameplate photos when you use the automatic label read. The photo is sent, the serial comes back, and Anthropic does not use it to train models.
  • Stripe handles payment when you subscribe. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to us.

Cookies

Two, both functional. A session cookie keeps you signed in. If you try the sandbox, a second cookie remembers which practice account is yours. There are no third party cookies.

How long we keep things

  • Practice accounts (the sandbox) delete themselves after seven days, rows, photos and all.
  • Real accounts keep their data for as long as the account exists. That is the point of the product: a claim can arrive years after the install.
  • Close your account and we delete its data. Email support@claimtimer.com and it is done within 30 days, sooner in practice.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at support@claimtimer.com. If you are in Australia, the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to how we handle personal information. If you are elsewhere, we honour the same requests all the same.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the new version lives at this address. We do not quietly rewrite history.
