Terms of service

The deal, in plain words. Using Claim Timer means agreeing to these terms, so they are written to be actually read.

What Claim Timer is

Claim Timer tracks warranty registration deadlines and conditions on the equipment you install, and builds the evidence file for claims. It is record keeping software. It does not submit registrations to manufacturers for you, and it does not decide claims.

The one warning that matters

Registration windows and warranty conditions belong to the manufacturers, and they change them. The windows and conditions in Claim Timer are a starting point for your own checking, not a guarantee. Always verify against the manufacturer's current warranty document, which is linked wherever we hold one. A missed deadline or a denied claim is between you and the manufacturer; Claim Timer's job is to make that outcome less likely, and it cannot make it impossible.

Your account and your data

  • You need an account to use the app, and what happens under your sign in is your responsibility.
  • Your install records stay yours. We claim no ownership over anything you put in.
  • You can ask for a copy of your data, or for its deletion, at any time. The privacy policy covers the details.
  • Do not use Claim Timer to store data you have no right to hold.

Plans and payment

  • The Free plan covers 5 installs a month and one open claim at a time, forever, no card required.
  • Paid plans are billed by Stripe, monthly or annually, in US dollars. Annual billing costs ten months.
  • Install limits are soft. Go over and the app keeps working and asks you to move up. It never blocks a registration.
  • Cancel any time from Settings, Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the account drops to Free. Nothing is deleted.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries. If it keeps failing, the account drops to Free.
  • Prices can change. Existing subscriptions get 30 days notice by email before a change touches them.

What we promise, and the limit of it

We run the service with care and keep your data backed up, but Claim Timer is provided as is, without a warranty of its own. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law gives you and does not let us take away, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

Fair use

Do not attack the service, scrape other people's data, resell access, or use the sandbox to store real work. Practice accounts delete themselves after seven days and we mean it.

Ending things

You can leave whenever you like. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and where the break is fixable we will say what is wrong first. If we ever shut the service down, paying customers get at least 60 days notice and a way to export their records.

The boring but necessary part

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If a piece of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands. If the terms change in a way that matters, the date above changes and subscribers hear about it by email.
