EG4's current inverters and batteries carry 10 year terms. EG4 asks for registration within the first year of purchase, with proof of purchase from an authorised distributor accepted as the fallback. The window is soft if the paperwork is kept and worthless if it is not.

What has to stay true
These are not deadlines. They are things that have to be true for the full term to hold, mostly with no clock attached, and nothing tells you when one stops being true.
Either register the unit with EG4 inside the first year or keep proof of purchase from an authorized distributor with the job; one of the two must hold
Terms by product line
Parts and labour are separate covers and they are rarely the same length. The models column is what the nameplate will say.
| Product line | Parts | Labour | Models |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18kPV Hybrid | 10 years | None | EG4 18kPV |
| WallMount AllWeather | 10 years | None | EG4 WallMount 14.3kWh |
What it pays for labour
The part is covered. The truck roll usually is not, and that is the number that decides whether a claim is worth filing.
The 18kPV and WallMount lines carry no labour cover.
Register: how it works
Who performs the registration changes what you have to chase, but the window runs regardless of who was meant to act.

EG4 warranty questions
Is EG4 warranty registration required?
EG4 asks for it within the first year of purchase. Proof of purchase from an authorised distributor is accepted as the fallback, so the requirement is really about being able to show one or the other.
How long is the EG4 registration window?
One year from purchase. Unlike a hard deadline, it can be survived on paperwork, which means the paperwork has to actually exist.

Warranty terms change and differ by country. This is a reading of the manufacturer's published document on the date shown, not legal advice, and not a substitute for the document that applies to the model you installed.
