The window
1 year
A real dated window. Miss it and the term you were sold is not the term you have.
EG4's current inverters and batteries carry 10 year terms. EG4 asks for registration within the first year of purchase, with proof of purchase from an authorised distributor accepted as the fallback. The window is soft if the paperwork is kept and worthless if it is not.
Register: step by step
Capture the nameplate before anyone leaves site
Photograph the nameplate and record the serial and model. EG4 asks for serial number, model, installation date, customer name, installation address, and every one of those is easier on the roof than from the office.
Open the EG4 portal
Registration happens at https://eg4electronics.com/warranty/. You register this one.
Meet the conditions, then confirm them
EG4 attaches a condition to the full term: Either register the unit with EG4 inside the first year or keep proof of purchase from an authorized distributor with the job; one of the two must hold. Confirm each one rather than assuming it happened.
Record the confirmation
Save the confirmation number and the date against the job. The window is 1 year, and the only thing that proves you met it is the confirmation.

What has to stay true afterwards
Registration is a moment. Conditions are permanent, and they are what actually decides the term.

Warranty terms change and differ by country. This is a reading of the manufacturer's published document on the date shown, not legal advice, and not a substitute for the document that applies to the model you installed.
Stop chasing EG4 registrations by memory
Claim Timer holds each brand's route and conditions on the equipment record, so the confirmation number lands on the job instead of in somebody's inbox.
