SolarEdge's standard 12 year inverter term needs no registration and starts at the earlier of installation or four months from shipment. The only clock is the paid extension: if the customer wants 20 or 25 years, it has to be bought within 24 months of shipment. The commissioning app handles registration itself.

What has to stay true

These are not deadlines. They are things that have to be true for the full term to hold, mostly with no clock attached, and nothing tells you when one stops being true.

Terms by product line

Parts and labour are separate covers and they are rarely the same length. The models column is what the nameplate will say.

What it pays for labour

The part is covered. The truck roll usually is not, and that is the number that decides whether a claim is worth filing.

No labour cover

The HD Wave and Home Hub lines carry 12 years of parts cover and no labour cover.

SolarEdge warranty questions

How long is a SolarEdge inverter warranty?

Twelve years as standard, with no registration required. Paid extensions to 20 or 25 years exist, and those have to be bought within 24 months of shipment.

Is there a deadline on the SolarEdge warranty extension?

Yes, and it is the only clock on this brand. The extension has to be purchased within 24 months of shipment. The standard 12 years needs nothing at all.

When does SolarEdge cover start?

At the earlier of installation or four months from shipment.

Does SolarEdge registration happen automatically?

The commissioning app registers it. That is convenient and it is also why nobody checks, so verifying the record exists is worth a minute at handover.

Warranty terms change and differ by country. This is a reading of the manufacturer's published document on the date shown, not legal advice, and not a substitute for the document that applies to the model you installed.

Claim Timer already holds these terms

One record per piece of equipment, with the serial, the nameplate photo and each brand's conditions on it. Put your next install in and the claim is built before the part fails.
