BYD has no registration at all. The trap is the start date. Without written proof of delivery, the 10 years runs from six months after production, which can quietly burn months of cover before the battery is switched on. A delivery note moves the start to delivery plus 30 days.

What has to stay true
These are not deadlines. They are things that have to be true for the full term to hold, mostly with no clock attached, and nothing tells you when one stops being true.
Delivery note kept on file: it moves the warranty start from production date + 6 months to delivery + 30 days
Terms by product line
Parts and labour are separate covers and they are rarely the same length. The models column is what the nameplate will say.
| Product line | Parts | Labour | Models |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery-Box Premium HVS | 10 years | None | HVS 10.2, HVS 7.7 |
What it pays for labour
The part is covered. The truck roll usually is not, and that is the number that decides whether a claim is worth filing.
The Battery-Box Premium HVS line carries 10 years of parts cover and no labour cover.
Register: how it works
Who performs the registration changes what you have to chase, but the window runs regardless of who was meant to act.

BYD warranty questions
Is there a BYD warranty registration?
No. There is no registration to complete. What matters instead is the paperwork you keep, because it decides when the term starts.
When does a BYD Battery-Box warranty start?
With a delivery note on file, 30 days after delivery. Without one, six months after the production date, which is usually earlier and costs the homeowner cover.
What serials does a BYD claim need?
Product, module and inverter serials. Capture all three at install, because going back for a module serial means opening the enclosure again.
