What it pays for labour
The part is covered. The truck roll usually is not, and that is the number that decides whether a claim is worth filing.
The ET Series carries 12 months of labour cover alongside 10 years of parts.

Who performs the registration changes what you have to chase, but the window runs regardless of who was meant to act.

Why would a GoodWe warranty be 5 years instead of 10?
Because the 10 year term is conditional on the inverter being connected to the SEMS portal with generation data uploading, and on both serials being registered where a Lynx battery is fitted. Without those, the term is five years. There is no notification when it happens.
Is there a deadline for registering a GoodWe inverter?
No dated deadline. What there is instead is a live condition: the SEMS connection has to exist and keep working. That is why this is tracked as a condition to confirm rather than a countdown.
What breaks a GoodWe SEMS connection?
Anything that takes the inverter off the homeowner's network, which is usually a router change or a new wifi password. The warranty consequence is invisible from the roof, so it is worth checking on any service visit.
