GoodWe has no registration deadline, but its 10 year term is conditional. The inverter has to be connected to the SEMS portal and uploading generation data, and a hybrid running a Lynx battery needs both serials registered. Miss either and the term is five years instead of ten, and nobody tells you.
Register: step by step
Capture the nameplate before anyone leaves site
Photograph the nameplate and record the serial and model. GoodWe asks for serial number, model, installation date, customer name, installation address, and every one of those is easier on the roof than from the office.
Open the GoodWe portal
Registration happens at https://au-10year-warranty.semsportal.com. You register this one.
Meet the conditions, then confirm them
GoodWe attaches conditions to the full term: Inverter connected to the SEMS portal with generation data uploading; Hybrid running a Lynx battery: inverter and battery serials registered at au-10year-warranty.semsportal.com. Confirm each one rather than assuming it happened.
Record the confirmation
Save the confirmation number and the date against the job. There is no deadline to prove, but there is a start date to prove, and that is what a claim will ask for.
