aPower 2 and aPower S carry 15 years with 70 percent capacity retention at term end. The original aPower X carries 12. The trap is the start date: the clock starts at installation or 12 months after manufacture, whichever is earlier, so a unit that sat in a warehouse burns cover before it is ever switched on.

Photograph the nameplate and record the serial and model. FranklinWH asks for serial number, model, installation date, customer name, installation address, and every one of those is easier on the roof than from the office.

Meet the conditions, then confirm them
FranklinWH attaches a condition to the full term: Register the system with FranklinWH and record the install date: the 15 year term starts at installation or 12 months from manufacture, whichever comes first. Confirm each one rather than assuming it happened.
Record the confirmation
Save the confirmation number and the date against the job. There is no deadline to prove, but there is a start date to prove, and that is what a claim will ask for.
